The First Lady’s Military Family Care Initiative is a web based program designed to help military families during deployments. The Initiative unites community organizations with military families to provide simple volunteer services to the families of military personnel during times of separation from their loved-one.
It is our goal to honor those soldiers that have made the ultimate sacrifice in order to keep freedom alive for you and for me. It is with a humble heart that we honor these men and women by placing a flag in their honor so that we all will be reminded of the sacrifice they have made to keep this country free. They have fought and died with honor keeping America and Canada the example of freedom throughout the world.

The nonprofit and nonpartisan Minnesotans’ Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF) is a statewide fundraising initiative that shows our troops how much we appreciate and respect their efforts by providing cash grants to all soldiers deployed in combat zones such as Iraq and Afghanistan, and to the families of soldiers who are killed in combat.
The Bryan McDonough Military Heroes Foundation is a nonprofit organization supporting Minnesota servicemen and women returning from deployments around the world. The Bryan McDonough Military Heroes Foundation was established to support soldiers adjusting to life with the physical and psychological wounds of war.

MVFS was started in 2007 to provide support, programming and resources to Minnesota Military Families before, during and after deployment.We understand the challenges that military families face during all stages of the deployment process. Our board is comprised mostly of military spouses that have been through the deployment process themselves.
Tee it up for the Troops, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization created in 2005 to help support the fallen and disabled members of our Armed Forces, and their families. The NATIONAL DAY OF GOLF was sub sequentially formed and has since produced numerous golf outings throughout the country where the proceeds benefit veterans of all branches and conflicts.
Tribute To The Troops is dedicated to those brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Our focus is to gratefully and graciously demonstrate to loved ones left behind that we, as ordinary Americans, will not forget their loss. It is in their memory and honor that we raise awareness and funds for the benefit and comfort of those who continue to serve. Through these efforts we convey our gratefulness and appreciation to all veterans who have served, whether in war, or in peace.
Scoops for Troops is teamed with Tribute to the Troops. All proceeds go to the Wounded Warriors Fund and Children's Education Fund from Tribute to the Troops.
Minnesotans have purchased more than 13,000 Support Our Troops plates since they became available in December 2005, contributing over $420,000 to programs that assist military families and veterans.
The Veterans Airlift Command provides free air transportation to wounded warriors, veterans and their families for medical and other compassionate purposes through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots. Our priority is on the veterans of Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan). As capacity allows, our mission will expand to serve veterans of other conflicts.
Veterans Ride, Inc. is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit corporation that raises money to benefit our military veterans who live in veterans homes in Minnesota. Our primary fundraiser is an annual motorcycle ride in June of each year, traveling approximately 70-80 miles, for about 1 1/2 hours of travel time. All of the funds collected from the motorcycle ride will be donated to the Minnesota Veterans Homes.
