Mankato Veteran Memorials
There are four Veteran Memorials located in Mankato, MN. A tour of the area memorials is published in this document. The information is:
Blue Earth and Nicollet Counties - Vietnam Veterans Memorial
This Vietnam Veterans Memorial is located on Stoltzman Road in Mankato. The memorial depicts a United States flag bursting from a rock. The plaque on the monument reads, "Blue Earth - Nicollet Counties Vietnam Veterans Memorial. Dedicated to all who served and those who died. Vietnam Veterans of Southern Minnesota. November 11, 1988."

Lincoln Park
Lincoln Park is located at 200 Lincoln Street. In the park there is a stone tablet dedicated to Civil War veterans and a Spanish American War cannon.
Korean War Memorial
A Korean War memorial is located in the center of Mankato next to the library. The memorial includes the names of all the Minnesotans who lost their life in Korea. No other information is available at this time.
Veterans Memorial Place
Funds are being raised for a "Veterans Memorial Place" at Mulberry and Second Streets. The memorial is next to the Veterans Memorial Bridge.
The proposed concept of the memorial will be a five pointed star representing the five branches of the armed forces. Ground breaking for the memorial was in May 2010. The organizers are selling pavers to complete the memorial. More information can be found at www.vfwpost9713.org.
