Fergus Falls Veterans Home - Veterans Walk of Honor

Located at the Minnesota Veterans Home - Fergus Falls (1821 N Park St) is a Veterans Walk of Honor. The Memorial Wall contains resident's names engraved when they pass away.  Additionally there is a Freedom Gazebo and a Branches of Service monument that honors the five branches of service currently serving.

Branches of Services Monument - Air Force / Marines

Air Force Marines
The Air Force marks
its beginnings in 1907
with the establishment of
Aeronautical Division
of the Army. On
September 18, 1947 it
officially became the
U.S. Department of the
Air Force.
The Marines originated
on November 10, 1775
when the
Continental Congress
created two federal
battalions.
Establishment of the
U.S. Marine Corps
became official on
July 11, 1798

Marines Coast Guard
The Marines originated
on November 10, 1775
when the
Continental Congress
created two federal
battalions.
Establishment of the
U.S. Marine Corps
became official on
July 11, 1798
The U.S. Coast Guard
traces its origin to
August 4, 1790. It was
officially formed in 1915
when an act of Congress
combined the Revenue
Cutter Service with
the Life Saving Service.
