U.S. VA Veteran Grave Markers
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs now offers a medallion to signify the deceased’s status of a Veteran. This new burial benefit will replace current bronze star markers available through the Minnesota Department of Veterans Affairs for private burial sites.
The new medallion will enable Minnesotans to honor Veterans with a nationally recognized symbol of their service. All Veterans and their families seeking burial markers should order the new medallion directly through the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
The medallion is available in three sizes: 5 inches, 3 inches and 1 1/2 inches. Each medallion bares the inscription “VETERAN” across its top and the branch of service at the bottom.
